Terms of Service

By creating an account or using TryCrucible (the “Platform”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and webpipl. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform. By using the Platform, you represent that you are legally able to enter into this agreement. Companies must have the authority to accept these Terms on behalf of their organisation.

The Platform has three account types:

• Candidate — free access to all platform challenges, submission history, and a public profile. Free forever.
• Company — access to candidate search, profile browsing, private challenge creation, invitation tools, pipeline management, and analytics. Subject to a subscription or trial credit system.
• Reviewer — access to the review queue for flagged submissions. Reviewers are selected by webpipl and compensated per review.

As a candidate you agree to:

• Submit only code you personally wrote during the challenge attempt.
• Not share your LLM key with others or use it outside the challenge context.
• Include a genuine decisions document reflecting your actual design choices.
• Not use automated tools to generate decisions documents without real decision-making.
• Not attempt to game the similarity detection or timing systems.
• Not submit the same codebase for multiple challenges where it does not genuinely apply.

Submissions found to violate these rules may be removed, your score voided, and your account suspended.

As a company you agree to:

• Use candidate profile data only for legitimate hiring evaluation purposes.
• Not export, scrape, or bulk-download candidate data beyond what the platform provides.
• Treat candidate scores and submission data as confidential hiring information.
• Ensure webhook endpoints you register are secured and do not expose candidate data.
• Not contact candidates for purposes unrelated to the role for which they were evaluated.
• Pay subscription fees when due; access is revoked on non-payment.

You must not:

• Attempt to access other users' data without authorisation.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or scrape the Platform.
• Use the Platform to distribute malware or engage in phishing.
• Submit repositories containing harmful, offensive, or illegal content.
• Impersonate another person or organisation.
• Use automated bots to create submissions or interact with the evaluation pipeline.
• Circumvent rate limits, anti-cheating systems, or access controls.

Your submissions belong to you. By submitting a repository, you grant webpipl a limited, non-exclusive licence to clone, run, and evaluate the code for the purpose of scoring and displaying results on your public profile. We do not claim ownership of your work.

Challenge content (descriptions, scenarios, datasets, rubrics) is owned by webpipl or the issuing company. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or use challenge materials outside the Platform without written permission.

Public profiles and scores are visible to all users. You may request removal of your profile at any time via account deletion.

Temporary LLM API keys issued to candidates are scoped to a single challenge attempt and expire on submission or after 7 days, whichever comes first. Keys may not be shared, sold, or used for any purpose other than completing the assigned challenge. Misuse of LLM keys will result in immediate revocation and account suspension.

AI scores are generated across six defined dimensions. Submissions scoring above 88 receive an additional human expert review. Scores are not guaranteed to be error-free. Candidates may file one dispute per scored submission; disputes are reviewed by a human expert and the decision is final.

Company subscriptions are billed monthly via Razorpay. Trial credits are non-refundable. Paid subscriptions may be cancelled at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are issued at webpipl's discretion for billing errors only.

Reviewers are independent contractors, not employees of webpipl. Payouts are processed monthly via Razorpay Route to registered bank/UPI accounts. Reviewer decisions on flagged submissions are final. webpipl reserves the right to remove a reviewer from the network for poor quality reviews or policy violations.

The Platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that any score will result in a job offer or that companies will review any particular profile. We make no representation that challenge evaluations are suitable for any specific hiring decision.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, webpipl's total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to webpipl in the three months preceding the claim (or INR 500 for free accounts). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

You may delete your account at any time from Account Settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without prior notice. Upon termination, your access to the Platform is revoked and your data is deleted per our Privacy Policy.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. If you are a consumer in the EU, mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence may also apply.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email and a platform notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
